The Blues fell behind 2-0 on a goal by Colorado’s Tyson Barrie from the blueline on a power play. The Blues challenged that the puck had left the zone and the Avalanche were offside but after a massively long review, which involved lots of looking at a monitor and then a long phone call to the league situation room in Toronto (it was long enough they may also have been ordering pizza) and a frame-by-frame review that showed the puck was right at the line, but the league apparently couldn’t see any space between the puck and the line and the goal stood. The failed challenge also meant the Blues got a two-minute penalty, which they then killed.
