Denver is the capital city of Colorado and has quite a large number of tourists. They come from all over just to experience what the great city has to offer. Here are some of the sights that people can see in Denver.

Located in City Park is Denver’s Museum of Nature and Science. New exhibits are found in the museum regularly, but some are found there all year long. Dinosaur skeletons, Ice Age remains, and Native American artifacts are interesting prehistoric relics found in the museum, along a massive Colorado gold nugget and minerals from the Coors family. There is even a planetarium and IMAX theater for educational films.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is located in Larimer Sqaure. Shows at the center are varied, as it has a concert hall, theater, and opera house. Guests can see Broadway shows, be moved by the latest plays, and see other local cultural forms of entertainment. Classes for acting are also held regularly at the center for budding students who want to become cultured members of the entertainment industry.

Created in the 1950s, Denver Botanical Gardens spans 23 acres, making it one of the largest gardens in the country. Plants from different global regions are featured in the gardens, with native plants taking the center stage. The gardens are divided into 43 desperate gardens with distinct landscapes. Tropical plants can be found in the Boettcher Memorial Conservatory, while Marnie’s Pavilion has flowing waterfalls and beautiful orchids. Special events are held in the gardens throughout the year, along with entertaining concerts.

There’s nothing like seeing a baseball game at Coors Field. The stadium is home to the Colorado Rockies and holds over 50,000 people. It first opened in 1995 and has been going strong ever since. A great view of the Rocky Mountains can be seen from the stadium, and guests can dine at the Mountain Ranch Club. Tours are offered that let people see what goes on in the stadium.
